Windows 7: VPN PPTP Setup
- Click Start -> Control Panel
- In the Control Panel, click View network status and tasks under Network and Internet
- Under Change your networking settings, click Set up a new connection or network
- In the Set Up a Connection or Network window, select Connect to a workplace and click Next
- In the Connect to a Workplace window, click on Use my Internet connection (VPN)
- In the Internet address: field, type your supplied server (for example:1.gfwvpn.com)
- In the Destination name: field, type gfwvpn
- After double checking the fields, click Next
- In the User name: field, enter your supplied username
- In the Password: field, enter your supplied password
- Some users may select Remember this password
- Click Connect

Windows Vista: VPN PPTP Setup
- Click Start -> Connect to
- In the Connect to a network window, click Set up a connection or network
- In the next window, select Connect to a workplace and click Next
- In the next window, click on Use my Internet connection (VPN)
- In the Internet address: field, type your supplied server (for example:1.gfwvpn.com)
- In the Destination name: field, type gfwvpn
- After double checking the fields, click Next
- In the User name: field, enter your supplied username
- In the Password: field, enter your supplied password
- Some users may select Remember this password
- Click Connect

Windows XP: VPN PPTP Setup
- Click Start -> Control Panel
- In the Control Panel window, doublie click Network Connections
- In the next window, click Create a new connection
- In the Network Connection Wizard window, click Next
- In the next window, select Connect to the network at my workplace and click Next
- In the next window, select Virtual Private Connection and click Next
- In the Company Name field, enter gfwvpn and click Next
- In the Host name or IP address field, enter your supplied server (for example:1.gfwvpn.com) and click Next
- Some users may select Add a shortcut to this connection on my desktop
- Click Finish
- In the User name: field, enter your supplied username
- In the Password: field, enter your supplied password
- Click Connect

Mac OS X 10.4: VPN PPTP Setup
- Go to Applications and open Internet Connect
- In the Internet Connect application, click File -> New VPN Connection
- In the next prompt, select PPTP and click Continue
- In the VPN (PPTP) window, make sure Configuration: is set to Other
- In the Server address: field, enter your supplied server (for example:1.gfwvpn.com)
- In the Account Name: field, enter your supplied username
- In the Password: field, enter your supplied password
- Some users may select Show VPN status in menu bar
- Click Connect

Mac OS X 10.5+: VPN PPTP Setup
- Click the Apple Menu in the upper left corner
- Click on System Preferences
- In the System Preferences window, click Network
- In the Network window, click the Lock and enter your password.
- Click + to add a new connection.
- In the following prompt, for Interface: select VPN
- In the VPN Type:, select PPTP
- In the Service Name: field, enter gfwvpn
- Click Create
- In the Server Address: field, enter your supplied server (for example:1.gfwvpn.com)
- In the Account Name: field, enter your supplied username
- Make sure Encryption: is set to Automatic (128 bit or 40 bit)
- Click Authentication Settings
- In the Password: field, enter your supplied password
- Click Ok
- Click the Advanced button
- Make sure to select Send all traffic over VPN connection
- Click Connect

iPhone / iTouch / iPad PPTP: VPN PPTP Setup
- Open the Settings application
- Click on General
- Click on Network
- Click on VPN
- Click on Add VPN Configuration
- Select PPTP
- In the Description field, enter gfwvpn
- In the Server field, enter your supplied server (for example:1.gfwvpn.com)
- In the Account field, enter your supplied username
- In the Password field, enter your supplied password
- Ensure that Send All Traffic is set to ON
- Ensure that Encryption is set to Auto
- Click Save
- Press the Home button
- Open the Settings application
- Click on VPN
- Click on gfwvpn
- Set VPN to ON

Android PPTP: VPN PPTP Setup
- Open Settings and click on Wireless Controls
- Click on VPN Settings
- Click on Add VPN
- Click on Add PPTP VPN
- In the VPN Name field, enter gfwvpn
- In the Set VPN Server field, enter your supplied server (for example:1.gfwvpn.com)
- Make sure PPTP Encryption is enabled.
- Click Save
- Open Settings and click on Wireless Controls
- Click on gfwvpn
- In the Username: field, enter your supplied username
- In the Password: field, enter your supplied password
- Some users may select Remember username
- Click Connect

Ubuntu Linux 10.10: VPN PPTP Setup
- Click on the Network Manager in your top panel
- Go to VPN Connections -> Configure VPN
- Click Add
- In the prompt, select Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP)
- In the Connection name: field, enter gfwvpn
- In the Gateway: field, enter your supplied server (for example:1.gfwvpn.com)
- In the User name: field, enter your supplied username
- In the Password: field, enter your supplied password
- Click on the Advanced button
- In the PPTP Advanced Options window, ensure Use Point-to-Point encryption (MPPE) is selected
- Click Ok
- Click on the Network Manager in your top panel
- Go to VPN Connections -> gfwvpn
